I really wanted to like this book. The art is beautiful and kept my interest throughout. Unfortunately the story is needlessly complicated and convoluted. The story is bogged down by characters that take to long to say absolutely nothing. Combine that with over the top confusion regarding fight sequences and your left unsatisfied and irritated. Again I really did want to like this book, it just didn't work out that way.

With a story not unlike Preacher and artwork similar to the Dark Tower series, Pretty deadly combines the best of both with a well woven storyline and well developed characters. Looking forward to further releases.

I was recommended this comic series and I'm so very thankful I took a chance and bought it! I couldn't stop reading! It's so dark and beautiful and sad, it just really drew me in.
