This book took me on an emotional journey. Not only with Ruth's shameful secret but in Jack's reaction to it because of his pride. He was awful and for a short time a very unlikable character. You laugh, you cry, you cheer...and you feel like you're part of the family in "The Wings of Glory" series. All three books reel you in and you hate to close the book when it's time to get back to daily tasks. I cannot tell you how much research I've done on WWII while reading these. The planes, air bases, uniforms, medals...all make me appreciate my family's Air Force association along with other branches of the military my relatives were in. Sarah Sundin is a fabulous Christian storyteller, and I'm so happy I've found her books!

I've searched long and hard for this book after reading the 1st in series! Amazing!!! Loved how all the characters were linked so you didn't miss anything! It was so hard to put this book down. The suspense, the romance, the historical events, and the good word will keep you wanting more!!!! Loved it! She's a very talented writer!

Sarah Sundin is the author of A Distant Melody. Her great-uncle flew with the US Eighth Air Force in England during WWII. Sarah lives in California with her husband and three children.
