In this third Keenan Fitzpatrick Mystery, Fitz is called in to investigate a double homicide in the sleepy outback of Nevada. The county commission has illegally suspended the duly-elected sheriff and installed a young deputy with no tangible investigative experience. When Fitz gets to this former stagecoach stop by the old Pony Express, he immediately clashes with the locals. Soon, Fitz is butting heads with the federal government and established families that want this case to just go away. The major employer in town, a huge mining interest, is right in the middle of his investigation. Then the bodies start to pile up, and Fitz knows he’s in for more than he initially thought. About the author

Trevor Scott was born in Duluth, Minnesota. He is the author of more than thirty mystery/thriller novels in the Jake Adams International Thriller Series, the Chad Hunter Series, and the Tony Caruso Mystery Series. He has a master's in creative writing from Northern Michigan University, and a bachelor's in writing from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He served in the U.S. Navy as an ordnanceman on the flight deck of aircraft carriers, and as an officer in the U.S. Air Force during the Cold War and the first Gulf War. He has traveled to more than 75 countries, and he currently resides in Nevada and Oregon.
