About this ebook

A warlock’s bond to the Flow, the source of all magic, is both a gift and a curse. For Bryanna D’Isaac, it is the only thing that keeps her alive in a galaxy ruled by a tyrant who hates her kind. But her bond becomes a deadly weapon when she accidentally destroys an Imperial drone and crosses paths with Admiral Devon Bastion, the most feared man in the empire.

Bastion is on a mission to expose the emperor’s corruption and end his reign of terror. He needs Bryanna’s magic to do it, but he doesn’t trust her or her android companion, T’Laan. The Admiral has his secrets and his enemies, and he has no idea that Bryanna is connected to a mysterious presence in the Flow, a warlock who cries out for help from a dark and hidden place.

As Bryanna and Bastion are drawn into a web of intrigue and danger, they discover they are not the only ones seeking the truth behind the emperor’s madness. A rogue warlock, a rebel leader, and a sinister slaver are all after the same thing: Lady Silver, the key to the ultimate power in the galaxy. But Lady Silver is not what they think she is, and her fate will change everything.

About the author

I was born in 1957, the third of six kids making up the family, which puts my Borg designation as "Three of Six," for Star Trek fans.

I grew up, went to college, dropped out, went back, dropped out, worked as a secretary for three years, went back to college, dropped out, went back and finally finished a degree in nursing. Got married at 25, and kicked him to the curb 14 years later. Lived in my native Mississippi until my divorce was final, then moved to New Mexico. After two years there, I moved to Colorado. Two years there and the birth of my only child -- a wonderful son named Thomas -- brought me back home to Mississippi, where I remain to this day.

I gave up my nursing career to become a teacher. I retired for health reasons in 2015 and took up freelance writing. That proved a successful venture, stoking a long-dormant fire in my soul for fiction writing. I published my first novel in 2021 and relaunched it with a new cover and a shiny new edit in August 2023.

I continue to live in the backwoods of Mississippi with my family scattered around and my three fur babies (Snowball, Radar, and Krumpus) interrupting my writing time on a regular basis.
