Meine „Hommage à la Pologne“ ist ein Stück, das ich meinem Heimatland widme. Sie ist entstanden als Auftragswerk für den polnischen Dirigenten Professor Szymon Kawalla. Die Musik hierfür habe ich ausnahmsweise tonal komponiert, und ich greife, wie es sich für eine Hommage auf mein Heimatland gehört, auf zwei Stücke zurück, die mich in besonderer Weise mit Polen verbinden.
