About this ebook

I don’t want him.

I can’t do this.

That’s what my ex said after our son was born, leaving me a single dad.

These days, my world consists of two things: Noah and my bar.

Until her—the woman I want —but can never have.

My ex’s sister wasn’t supposed to be stirred into the mix.

Even though I try to push her away, my son falls in love with her.

As much as I want to keep my distance, I can’t break his heart.

Lines become blurred, and fighting our attraction becomes nearly impossible.

Even though we know it’s wrong, desire doesn’t always fade away.

As soon as we cross that line, nothing will be the same and everything will fall apart.

And it does.

I love a single dad romance and this one had the makings of a great by throwing in a somewhat forbidden romance as well. Jamie and Cohen have undeniable chemistry and I could feel it coming off the pages. The angst, tension, and attraction kept me glued the whole time. Don't miss this new series by this author! I just listened to the audio and it makes the story so much better. I couldn't turn it off. The narrators bring the characters to life and I felt as if I was right there with them.

This is one emotional read. I was drawn to this because of the author and it's a single dad romance. I'm so glad I read this one. I'm not gonna lie Cohen rubbed me the wrong way in the beginning. He did redeem himself because you can easily see how his past hurts have influenced him with good reason. My heart breaks for Jamie not getting have some type of relationship with Noah all these years, but fate has a funny way working out. This is a huge journey for both Jamie and Cohen. Things can get real complicated real fast, but you can't deny what starts to bloom between them. There is one character I would like to bop one. She's one piece of work. I know when I read a good book is when I get invested in the secondary characters just as much as the main ones. I can't wait for more from this series.

Life has its own pulse - Its own timeline Cohen was young when his heart was ripped out and stomped on the first time. It taught him a valuable lesson , one that stayed with him. Until a doe eyed fiery ball called Jamie came crashing back into his world. It was serendipitous that Noah and Cohen were dropped into Jamie's world. Slowly both became an intrinsic part of her everyday life. Now she must choose between appeasing her family or her heart. No matter which choice she makes she is aware someone will be hurt. Cohen let her in! Jamie sometimes you have to follow your heart, even if it might be against the grain. Hey Heather we can see the ugly Noah you can have all the cupcakes your little heart desires. This was a fun, emotional and at times a touch stressful second chance at first love. I promise it's not as confusing as it sounds. The slow build between Cohen and Jamie was ,for me, what made this story so easy to fall into. You spend that kind of time getting to know someone, sharing moments both good and bad. You are bound to catch feelings. Especially when the seed was already present.
