About this ebook

Can't Buy Me Love

It's Tag Crane's job to be the life of the party. Traveling from one exotic locale to another is just part of running the luxurious Crane Hotel empire. But even paradise isn't perfect. Devising a new business strategy is keeping Tag up at night-and so is the Great Dane barking at all hours in the apartment below his. To muzzle the problem, Tag charges downstairs . . . right into the most beautiful, blond distraction he's ever seen.

Dog-sitting by day, bartending by night. It's not exactly the life Rachel Foster dreamed of. But when Tag Crane rushes in, all mountain-man shoulders and obscenely sexy smile, needing her help for the Crane Hotels, it's a fantasy come true. What's the harm in a fun no-strings fling? Only a fool would give her heart to a billionaire player like Tag-until suddenly the one man who can't be caught is the one flirting with forever . . .

4.5 Stars I highly enjoyed reading Tag and Rachel's book. I just loved their first meeting. It set the tone for the book. What made this book so enjoyable for me was the characters. They both had great personalities. The secondary characters were great as well. Tag is great hero material even though he's a player. It works because he is considerate about the women he dates. A big plus in my book. I liked Rachel because she's independent and isn't wooed by money. Tag and Rachel have their ups and downs, but what Tag does at the end of the book would win anyone over. I looking forward to to the book in the series.

Tag is not your average billionaire. I absolutely loved The Billionaire Bachelor (the first book in the Billionaire Bad Boys series) but The Billionaire Next Door didn’t grab me in quite the same way. Don’t get me wrong, I liked it a lot but it just didn’t affect my emotions the same way The Billionaire Bachelor did. Tag is a different sort of hero. He has long hair and dresses very casually. When our heroine, Rachel, first meets him she thinks he’s the dog walker who’s come to walk Adonis, the dog she is taking care of for a month. Rachel has been hurt badly by her ex. He took credit for her work and then got the promotion that should have been hers. She is not looking for another serious relationship. Tag isn’t really a love ‘em and leave ‘em guy; every one of his previous girl-friends is still his friend; no one can seem to stay mad at him. The relationship between Tag and Rachel develops slowly which is good for readers who don’t like insta-love type stories. I can’t find any fault with the writing of this story; the dialogue was witty and engaging. I really can’t put my finger on the reason that I wasn’t more captivated by it. One of the best parts for me was meeting Eli, the third Crane brother. I won’t give away any details but I’m betting that his story will push all of my emotional hot buttons and I can’t wait to read it. ARC provided by the publisher via NetGalley but this did not influence my opinion or rating of the book. Review will be posted to Xtreme-Delusions dot com on or after release day.

The best description for Tag would be "Gentle Giant". He not only was large in stature but his capacity for love was a driving force behind his identity. Ms. Lemmon dropped clues to his heart with his devotion to the family business and his drive to make his mark by finding success in his division. His tenderness to a woman with hang ups about sex and trust. The care he took of a dog in distress. His interactions with the people he cared for and his propensity to never give up. It was obvious that this man was a nurturer with more than just a large pocket book to offer. So why was he the last to realize how special he really was? That was a trait that he and Rachel shared in common. The moment he started calling her "Dimples", I was a goner. The Billionaire Next Door is a sensual delight that makes for a enticing romance a reader can really sink there teeth into.
