Saving Hope is a fast-paced, quick read - about two hours read time. As I've come to expect with this author, the pace of the story, combined with a bit of suspense kept me turning pages to see how things would play out. It is instalove, but that tends to be the norm in romances of this length and pacing, so it was expected. Even considering the length of the book, the beginning of the story felt a bit rushed to me. In all honesty, I was having trouble connecting with the characters and wasn't sure if I was going to like this one. There were things about Rob and Hope's first night together that just didn't ring true for me. But, there was that element of suspense to keep things moving and I was interested enough to plunge ahead. Once the mystery of who Hope is and why she's running started to really play out, my interest picked up. Like other books by Wild, I found myself engrossed in the story at that point and was able to connect with a story much better in the second half of Rob and Hope's tale. That second half of the book is what bumped this one from a three to a four-star read for me. Overall, while this isn't my favorite book by Lucy Wild, it is worth the read.
