Heartbreaking but also uplifting. Poppy Day is such a loveable character and you are absorbed into her seemingly perfect marriage with her sweetheart and her adorable children. But as with all fairytales there is also the dark side and Poppy is so busy caring for others she neglects the lump growing in her breast until it is too late. Even after her cancer diagnosis she continues to put everyone else first and battles in with such tenacity and courage and sometimes sheer pigheadedness! My heart absolutely broke for her when she faced the awful betrayal of infidelity by the people she loved and trusted the most. She shows such love, bravery, humour, strength and wisdom I felt like I was in mourning for a friend when it came time to say a final goodbye. Every Amanda Prowse book takes one on an emotional rollercoaster ride but this was the ultimate journey and one I never wanted to end. I can't recommend this book highly enough
