From #1 Bestselling fantasy author Morgan Rice comes a new fantasy series teens and adults.

When Oliver learns that the sacred Orb of Kandra has been stolen, he knows it is up to him alone to save the school. The only way is to travel back in time, to the England of 1690s, to save one very important person: Sir Isaac Newton.

The Obsidian School, meanwhile, has powerful seers of its own, all bent on Oliver’s destruction. When they enlist Oliver’s bully brother, Chris, it may just mean a fight to the death.

An inspiring fantasy, THE ORB OF KANDRA is book #2 in a riveting new series filled with magic, love, humor, heartbreak, tragedy, destiny, and a series of shocking twists. It will make you fall in love with Oliver Blue, and keep you turning pages late into the night.

Books 3 and 4 in the series are also available!

“The beginnings of something remarkable are there.”

The first book was decent. I'd give it 3 stars. The reason I gave this one 1 star is that it is so difficult to suspend disbelief long enough to enjoy the story. In reality there is no 13 year old bully that would want to murder his brother because he got showed up in school. Oliver knew the people at the school for seers for around 3 days and suddenly he misses them more than anything and that is enough to decide he truly loves someone? Not only this but he's 11, he can't understand the concept of actual love. Let's say I can believe he fully understands the concept of love. He knew this girl 3 days before getting with her and she has no defining personality traits except being pretty and being kind. She isn't funny, witty or an enjoyable character at all.

The book is really amazing and trilling. With each chapter it creates suspense. The characters, plot and background is really good. They went to meet Newton to help them find the orb of kandra. Each chapter builds up suspense.

This series is a bit of a twist on normal Morgan Rice fare. While it has the same types of wheels within wheels situations, I feel it is more geared for a younger fantasy audience. Although I have been enjoying it, I still have a hard time wrapping my head around 11 and 12 year old heros who have the knowledge and schooling of those years beyond them. I am not fond of the vendetta held by Chris against Oliver. IMO, it detracts from the overall plot progression. I am still enjoying the series.
