While I really liked the storyline, and liked Drew and Cannon, I couldn’t feel their insta-connection. I wish it would have been a matter of weeks at least, and not days. But Meghan March’s writing, as always, is great. The storyline was believable, for the most part. There were times I was wondering how Cannon could be so trusting considering he comes from a mob family. I feel Randi isn’t who she seems to be. She seems sketchy. I’m looking forward to reading the conclusion to this duet. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

This is NOT a full book! I thought I was purchasing A BOOK, NOT A FIRST OF TWO. Since I'm already involved, I purchased the second... I'm soo pissed off about this not being "a real book"- and the only way I can get to the end, is by purchasing book two... I've lost total interest because you may have well taken a chapter from Sandra Brown. This is a seductory smut novel that depicts two people screwing for a couple days- now they're in love. It is the worst $10 I've spent in my life. I can't even finish it... too smutty, I thought this was a suspense read!!! Mmm, no. Don't bother! And shame on people who only write "half books " to sell their others! HACK HACK HACK!! Such a sad writer to do this. Not competent to write an entire book, bur scams you into two.. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

This was an intriguing start to the duet. I took a little time to sink my teeth into the story but by about a third of the way in I was hooked. I really liked Drew, she's got a backbone made of steel and although there was moments I thought she wavered slightly she dug deep and forged ahead with her ultimate goal. I loved her instant attraction to Cannon. I liked that she didn't shy away too much and went for what her heart truly wanted. Cannon I had to warm too a little bit, I'd forgotten who he was in relation to previous characters set in this universe but once I remembered the ties I remembered my previous impressions of him. He's an interesting character and I felt that we've only just scratched the surface. I think we're going to see his true worth in the second book when he finally takes a stand and shows his true strength of character. I loved his thoughts and feelings towards Drew and I think she's in very safe hands. I cannot wait to read the second book, I think it's definitely going to be one that I won't want to put down until Ive devoured every page.
