This is the second volume of a CSI or Crime Scene Investigator's handbook from the nineteenth or early twentieth century. It contains case histories and studies of persons who were accidentally poisoned, persons who used poison to attempt or to successfully commit suicide, and persons who were poisoned with malice aforethought. It is designed to help courts determine what the circumstances were when poison's might be involved. It is detailed and an excellent guide to many common poisons, chemical and organic, industrial and agricultural, which you might encounter. A very interesting and possibly quite useful book. The first volume deals with mental illness, and is no longer either relevant or particularly interesting.
