About this ebook

Samantha Kidd knows that in fashion, the smallest details matter—but this time, they could be deadly. When a seemingly simple situation turns into a complex mystery, this humorous cozy mystery challenges the amateur sleuth to uncover the truth before it’s too late.

In a world of perfect posts and curated lives, the truth is easy to hide.

Two weeks before Christmas, fashion insider Samantha Kidd accepts a temporary assignment as a social media influencer, trading investigations for lifestyle goals and carefully staged photos. The perks are plentiful, the expectations unrealistic — and the pressure to perform is constant.

When a colleague suddenly goes missing, Samantha knows the polished Instagram timeline left behind tells only part of the story. As she digs past filters, hashtags, and carefully crafted personas, she realizes someone has gone to great lengths to make a lie look like the perfect life.

With the holidays approaching and time running out, Samantha must rely on her instincts — and her hard-earned experience — to uncover the truth before the illusion becomes permanent.

Slay Ride is book 10 in the Killer Fashion mystery series. Perfect for readers who love holiday charm, modern fashion culture, and sharp humor in a cozy story about authenticity, friendship, and seeing past the shine. Each book can be read as a standalone, but the series is best enjoyed in order.

This season, the truth won’t be found in the caption.

Fashionista Becomes Social Influencer This is book ten in a humorous and clean mystery series based on fashion. This story is a bit different and shorter than others in the series. The plot is based around a commercial social influencer business. This is brand-new stuff for this reader! Because this is a shorter book, the plot was not nearly as complicated as some in the series. The reader is still kept informed as our heroine finds clues. The final denouement reveals a surprising ending. It is still quite a humorous story with lots of 'sigh' type moments. The end of the book has a teaser chapter from another of this author's series that I may binge-read next.

Not my sort of thing. I only read first two chapters before giving up. All about self absorbed 'influencers' who influence no one but each other. May get better but didn't want to find out. Such shallow people hold no interest for me, even if they are involved in some nefarious deeds in later chapters.
