Daniel Beysens holds Ph.D. in Physics and in Engineering and is a specialist of phase transition with emphasis on dropwise condensation. He is the co-founder and a president of OPUR—the International Organization for Dew Utilization. He teaches at the University Paris Diderot in Paris and is also an honorary director of Research at Ecole Supérieure de Physique et Chimie, Paris. With his team, he carries out experimental and theoretical study on dew condensation and phase transition, having started the field at the Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) when he was the head of an institute. He serves as an associate editor for several scientific journals and has authored many books and scientific publications. He was awarded various prices and honors in Physics and Environmental Sciences.
