His day job as a children's nurse shines through in his nurturing nature. Their first 'date' ends up with them both feeling more than they expected, as they both are still struggling with trauma in their past. As much as they try to fight their attraction, it continues to build, with Jarod falling hard and Christine still trying to deny her 'feelings'. The storyline moved along at a great pace, and there was so much to enjoy; the banter, the dirty talking, and the steamy moments. I honestly loved that Jarod and his 'sweet girl' gave into their feelings after an almost fatal disaster and got to have their second go-round. Another must read in this series

Wow what a scorcher Jarod and Christine's journey is HOTTTT!!!! Both single for a reason and loving life until one glorious night you won't believe until you read it just whoa!!! I loved Christine so so much she was sassy, strong willed and loved the dirty with a very strong personality that Jarod loved, instant attraction with one look now who wouldn't want that, these two are unforgettable and I loved that about them. Oh man Lynn Burke can write a story thatk consumes you and addicts you to the beautiful characters in her stories that I fall hard for.

Second Go-Round is my favorite Elite Escorts book thus far! I loved how both Christine and Jarod essentially had the same issue with intimacy but came at it from opposite sides of the issue: Christine doesn’t want to let anyone close because she doesn’t want to face the prospect of losing them one day, and Jarod doesn’t want to let anyone close because bringing people close makes you too vulnerable to being hurt. The characters are truly what make this book great. Well, that and excellent spice.
