This was an excellent romantic suspense! Jake really has a lot to go through after leaving the war, and learning to live with a prosthetic leg is just a portion of it. When he’s assigned to guard Chloe, an aspiring artist, things start to go by pretty quickly and you have to hang on for the ride. The threats that she’s receiving are no joke and the chemistry that she has with Jake is very strong. Once you pick this book up, don’t plan on putting it down any time soon! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

When a book keeps me awake, as this did, well...then you know it's a good one. Ms Blackard sure knows how to spin a yarn. After receiving this book as an ARC I can honestly say that I enjoyed this book. As the saga of the Stryker force continues I look forward to reading about each of the guys who seem so well known and familiar. The story is insightful and the characters are down to earth and relatable . Seeing how Jake- the beast -is proven to be a prince, as predicted by Eva, is endearing. I'm eagerly anticipating the next book.

This was a thrill ride along with a sizzling hot, clean romance. I loved the characters and the loyalty they showed to cousins, siblings, and to the other men they served with. The plot is full of twists and turns and moves along at a good pace. The romance is intense, but stops at kissing. There are some delightfully humorous moments sprinkled through the book. Crashing into Jake is a fantastic addition to the Stryker Security Force series. I definitely plan to read more of Sara Blackard's books since she's a master at pulling me into the story. I highly recommend this to clean romantic suspense readers and to clean/wholesome romance readers. I received a complimentary copy. I chose to write a review and share my opinion of this well-written book.
