OMG!! The heat in this book! I can’t even get over how explosive Drew and London are, whether they are arguing or burning up the bedroom. I loved how competitive and passionate these two are but also how compassionate and giving. I have never been so glad to accidentally come upon an author before. I can’t wait to dive into the backlist.

A lot of situational conflict in this romance! Drew and London were high school rivals, each competing for every conceivable win, ending up as co-valedictorians. They run across each other again at their fifteen-year reunion; London is still in Austin and is making quite a name for herself as a pediatric surgeon while Drew has made his millions at a hedge fund and is now running a company that helps turn around fiscally-unstable hospitals, including the one where London works. Their incendiary ONS quickly turns to FWB when it becomes clear that Drew is in town for at least a few weeks, but London refuses to allow their connection to become anything more than physical. In this part of the story, I really liked how Drew worked against her doubts and fears without trying to manipulate her into something more than she wanted. Both Drew and London have family issues going on, and I really loved how they supported each other on those fronts. Their bickering early on gradually became more constructive and I really enjoyed watching their relationship take on new dimensions. As the third in a series focusing on women who bonded over having dated the same loser, the girl-power vibe is strong in this one and I thought it was exceptionally well done. The HEA was charming, the secondary characters were riveting, and I greatly appreciated that the author didn't water down London's relationship with her father just to tie up a loose end. The way it was resolved was much more realistic and relatable. This story was instantly captivating and I enjoyed every bit. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

London and Drew are fully fleshed characters dealing with major life decisions. They're fun and well-matched with tons of chemistry. This compelling story kept me guessing until the end. The audiobook added to the enjoyment of the novel. Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.
