About the author

Lisa J. Amstutz is the author of more than fifty books for children. She specializes in topics related to science, nature, and agriculture. Lisa's work has also appeared in a variety of magazines and newspapers. Her background includes a BA in biology and an MS in environmental science. Lisa lives with her family on a hobby farm in rural Ohio. Talitha Shipman graduated with an MFA in illustration from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2008. She's illustrated three books since then. Talitha lives in Indiana with her husband, daughter, and a very hairy dog named Lucy.
