Praise for Cynthia Eden and Immortal Danger

“Cynthia’s on my must-buy list.”—Angie Fox, New York Times bestselling author

“It’s hard to stand out in the vampire genre, but Eden makes the cut. Maya and Adam are great characters, and they’re terrific together. The suspense is pulse-pounding, the sex hot and Maya’s fighting tactics are wickedly clever. There’s an abundance of paranormal creatures, but each type comes with its own characteristics, the better to keep things interesting.”—Romantic Times

Maya Black is not thrilled with being a vampire, but she’ll make the most of it by hunting demons, werewolves and other assorted nocturnal scum in order to keep the city safe. He hopes that Maya is as dangerous as they say she is because Adam Brody needs her help and he’s willing to pay in blood. This dangerously thrilling and adventurous read keeps readers glued to the pages and hanging on to the edge of their seats with lots of exciting action and intriguing suspense. The fast paced and smooth flowing plot never has a dull moment as Maya and Adam pursue the really bad vampires that kidnapped Adam’s niece and they come across werewolves that out for blood and chameleons determined to guard the vampires’ lair. This exciting read has it all, explosive battles, an adventurous journey, mean and bad demons, red hot passion, sizzling chemistry and two very strong and charismatic characters that really charm and delight readers with their story. The relationship between Maya and Adam is quite volatile with lots of attitude and electrical sparks that fly from the pages as they try to work out their differences, despite the secrets and tangled emotions that they each have. A well developed and fascinating world with a variety of bold supernatural characters that has lots of attitude that readers can practically feel leaping from the pages, especially since the author painted such vivid images that readers can easily imagine each and every scene as they become caught up story that has an overall enthusiastic feel that readers can appreciate.

4 Stars Review by Morgen Late Night Reviewer Up All Night w/ Books Blog Immortal Danger by Cynthia Eden is the first book in the Night Watch series. This book is about family and loyalty. Maya Black is a detective for hire. She was a police officer until one night she was turned against her will. She’s learned to trust no one. Now she is focused on work and surviving this supernatural world she now finds herself in. She is fiercely loyal, protective, and independent. Adam Brody is a man full of mystery. His niece is taken and he’s had no luck in finding her and no clue as to where she could possibly be. He is confident, stern, attractive, and all alpha. Adam seeks out Maya in hopes she may be the one able to find his niece, Cammie. He catches up to her in a feeding room, and asks for her services. They make terms and set a price, the deal is made. Before they start the hunt she has a few errands to run but he won’t let her out of his sight until he gets Cammie. They have an almost instant connection that starts small but builds over time. Part of the payment they agreed to was blood. Will she be able to stop after the first taste? Once the blood connection is made their bodies aren’t just drawn to each other, it becomes a primal need. When one touch leads to another and their passion takes over will it be easy to separate the job from the lust taking over all their instincts. They follow leads and race against time and deceit to save Cammie. Can they trust each other enough to pull off a win? One of the things I enjoyed most was that there was more than one POV. It is mostly the two main characters but there are also side characters sprinkled in when relevent to the storyline. It gives a better sense of what is going on in intense scenes and is done seemlessly. I love reading about vampires and this added a little mystery and twist to the average vampire story. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series. It kept me on the edge of my seat wanting more. I would reccomend this to anyone who enjoys vampires or supernatural romances, it has action mixed in to keep things interesting too.

Maya is a fighter. She once was a cop. Now she’s a vampire and she’s got quite a reputation. When Adam seeks her out to help him find his niece, it’s the last thing he wants to do. He despises vamps but he’s willing to do and pay whatever he has to for Maya’s assistance. However, the price doesn’t seem as steep the more he gets to know her, and smell her, and taste her much less allow her to taste him. I loved the suspense and high thrills that run through this story. There was never a dull moment. These characters were both extremely intriguing. I learned to not take Maya at her surface appearance and was so curious about Adam. What exactly is he? Even Maya is unsure. This is a fast paced read with some incredible secondary characters that I just want more of. The heat level is high but doesn’t overwhelm the story. Both Maya and Adam are well developed and the best part of this book was slowly seeing the real them. Definitely a book I would recommend to anyone who likes paranormal romance with plenty of suspense and thrills to go with it. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book provided by NetGalley and Kensington Books. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
