About this ebook

What happens when the veteran—who is secretly from a famous and affluent Hollywood family—covets a dog treat baker whose ex-fiance uses money to control her?

For the last six years, I've kept the truth about my family away from the men and women I met while serving in the US Army. What they don't know is I'm the youngest son (and black sheep) of an old money, high powered, Hollywood family. I never wanted the life they crave, and it was either the Army, jail, or a pine box, if I had continued down the reckless path I was on as a teenager.

Now I'm separating from the military and looking at the next phase of my life, which I hope includes investing in the Veteran K9 Center in Spring City, Colorado. The men working at this facility have been my family since graduating high school, and their influences are what I think I need in my future.

And then I meet Tess---a beautiful bartender with a dream of starting a doggie bakery. That's a dream I can help make a reality with my inheritance, and I don't even have to tell anyone where it came from. All I have to do is go home and meet with the lawyer to release my trust fund so I can invest in what I hope will be my future.

Our future.

Only my mother has no intention of not getting her way, which leaves me with a choice to make...

Do I go back to Hollywood to earn my money the family way?

Or start my life penniless in Colorado?

Once Tess learns the truth about me, will she stand by me either way?

*Confident, Not Cocky* I've been enjoying this series, but Kameron really pulled the stops out for this sweet & smexy addition. Tess & Logan Mejer-Pratt are cute with a tad bit of family & past relationship drama. Even though that stuff hangs out there, I like that it doesn't weigh down the overall tale. If you read the *Chasing Holiday Tail* anthology, there was a preview of Tess & Logan. I've been looking forward to this since then. The final product is exactly what I wanted. Everyone cries at weddings, right? It's not just me. Riiight? OK, so maybe I shed a few tears toward the end, but it was really sweet. 😪❤️🤗❤️ I dare you not to do the same. I like the extra bite of fun in the bonus epilogue. They really are good together. I also like all of the tie-ins throughout the story to other books & series by the author. The little Easter eggs not only enhance this book but bring a sense of nostalgia for me & likely those who've read many of her books.

This was another wonderful addition to the Veteran K9 Team series. This time we get Logan’s story, who is not a dog trainer, but rather is interested in investing in the K9 Centre and supporting his military brethren. The instant attraction between Logan and Tess is electric, and I enjoyed the way they slowly built their relationship despite off the charts chemistry. The author developed the characters beautiful and drew us in to their story with plenty of steam and swoon.

Mine to Covet by Kameron Claire is the fifth exciting tale in the Veteran K9 Team and has all the elements of a quick, emotional, and passionate romance. I liked storyline as it focus on the power play between those who have and those who do not, and inner torment experienced when faced with cowering to pressure or standing one’s ground. Mine to Covet was a wonderful diversion and a great addition to the series. I received an ARC of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
