Thoroughly enjoyed it. I enjoyed the lush and vivid description of Hilo, Hawai in the book. The author set his scenes up as he explains Lei, the MC of the story. Her past suddenly catches up with her and she is trying to get out of the mess which leads to a stalking, a murder and a kidnap as well. With several twists and turns, the story was neat and thoroughly enjoyable with multiple layers. Enjoyed it.

It's been ages since I've really enjoyed a great crime mystery/police procedural. Blood Orchids felt authentic -- both in procedure and in its cultural setting. I'm ready to find out what happens in Lei's world next.

Piles the tension on one after the other. A pseudo resolution turns out to be short lived and yet another twist adds to the drama before the satisfying conclusion. Great read.
