This story is a good addition to an already enjoyable series. This time it’s Luci’s turn to find love and put the past behind. There were some things that were a little hard to buy into even though this is a sci-fi romance. Without giving too much away, their ‘trip’ didn’t quite fit the series for me. Overall, I enjoyed reading this and recommend it to anyone who likes Kate Rudolph’s books and hunky aliens. I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Luci and Ax . . . Luci wants to have people see her as a strong woman. It is difficult to overcome people’s assumptions when they see her as small and helpless. Ax knows she is his mate, but she doesn’t want a relationship. So he protects her and patiently waits to prove to her that he is hers. When they are on an unplanned journey, Ax is ready to protect her again, but she is determined to use her own strength as well. The feelings they have been holding back begin to pull them together. But will they learn to trust and rely on each other? Will Luci finally allow Ax to show his love for her?

Roll Call. Abduction? Check recovery? Check Terrace? Action packed? Check base? So far so good. Trying to figure out who is helping the bad guy? Check well maybe not check maybe a so-so. But we know it’s not Luci. I had the opportunity to read the book and have the audiobook. Now. Love reading it. Was not too crazy about the narrator. For the simple reason that I am so used to having either a full cast or two people playing off each other it was an adjustment to go back to single person narration. But other than that it was good. The saga continues. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
