Tommy Davis considered himself a loner. He spent his days writing and running, all while keeping everyone else at bay. That is, until he discovers three kittens abandoned in his shrubbery. His fatherly instincts kick in, and he goes to the one person he knows can help—his sexy-as-sin next-door neighbor who happens to be a veterinarian.

Matthew James wasn't looking for love, but the moment Tommy shows up on his doorstep, he can't send him away. He's had a thing for Tommy since the first time he saw him, but his shyness has kept him from making a move.

The melting snow, blossoming flowers and a trio of kittens could be more than the guys can handle, but they just might be the push Matthew needs to find his forever with Tommy.

Tommy Davis kept to himself mostly, until the day he finds three little kittens in the shrubbery. A larger but very thin cat lay under another bush, not moving. His first instinct is to take the kittens to the veterinarian next door, Matthew James, so he can check them out. Matthew had just gotten home from a long night with a dog and he was obviously exhausted, heading in for some sleep. But Tommy wasn’t sure what to do about the animals who needed help. Matthew wasn’t looking to start a relationship because he has always been shy and not one to make the first move. But he would never send Tommy away if he needed a favor. Besides, if he hadn’t been so shy, Tommy is the one he would want in his life. He taught Tommy what he needed to do for the kittens and took them to the clinic that evening for a full exam to make sure they were okay. Caring for these very young babies would be pretty intense at first, especially since their momma hadn’t survived. With flowers blossoming and adorable kittens to care for, the two men are going to be busy. Maybe working together on their mutual interest now will be enough to start them on a real relationship. At the very least, it was a good way for the guys to get to know each other better as they worked side by side caring for their new family.
