About this ebook

ETERNAL LIFE IS TO DIE FOR

Seventeen-year-old Zoe Vanderveen is a GAP—a genetically altered person. She lives in the security of a walled city on prime water-front property along side other equally beautiful people with extended life spans.

Zoe’s carefree life takes a traumatic turn when her brother Liam is murdered.

The only one who can help her find out what happened is Noah Brody, the last guy on earth she should trust.

Noah Brody is a natural who lives on the outside. He leads protests against the GAPs and detests the widening chasm they’ve created between those who have and those who don’t. He doesn’t like girls like Zoe and he has good reason not to like her specifically. He's not sure why he's agreed to help her, but what he finds out when he does, will change his life forever.

PERCEPTION is a near-future mystery that can be read alone (no cliffhanger!)

A very basic "rich, white girl falls for poor boy" story beneath a thin layer of hollow scientific outrage. A better romance novel wouldn't need to fill space with a mediocre sci-fi setting and a better Sci-Fi novel could do a superior job of incorporating romance. Written for teenagers who don't know better books exist and for adults who don't care.

Really enjoyed this story... only noted one continuity error, (Zoe specifically doesn't order a burger because she's doubtful of the meat, but a moment later she bites into "her burger") The energy and excitement of the story kept me highly engaged and it was over all too soon for me... switching narrators was a great tool, especially considering the reason why it had to happen (no spoilers here). Touches of 20th and 21st century history, ethical dilemmas, and modern issues that have not bewn resolved yet, make the dystopian setting of this world hyper-realistic. You can believe that this society could actually exist someday.

Did I enjoy the story? Well, would assume that, as have read everything out available on kindle unlimited and possibly some that are available as subscriber or ARC team. Her style depends on which book/series, and haven't thought about it since like them all. Lot of them are available in single or set collections. Ambition prequel to The Perception Trilogy, A Nursery Rhyme collection/sets plus I Spy with My Little Eye short story Clockwise Collection, and others. Hoping to get time to read the 'historical' books soon as well.
