Varik has been on a guilt trip for 27 years for the things that he has done. In the process of trying to change he was cursed. Ashe is one of reasons for his guilt trip. She is a changeling thanks to Varik. Ashe finds herself in the mortal realm. With Varik’s help, she works on finding her way. Although, it all starts to unravel due to the winter court. They learn to work together to overcome obstacles. Ashe makes new friends and learns to rely on herself. Ronan has a story of his own in this situation which all comes to light. Hard work and determination are the name of the game in this saga. The ending has some interesting twists.

I did not see this coming. All the books in this series are 5* and yet this one doesn't just maintain that momentum, it manages to surpass. She's hunted, he's the bounty hunter. The magical elements and paranormal aspects are intense and adventurous but the connection that Ashe and Varik have jumps off the pages and embraces you. Varik is so respectful and protective, even the love he has for his wolf cub just melts your heart. Ashe is strong and determined to manage her new life and all the new challenges. It's amazing how of all the people in Rosethorn Valley these two make a perfect mate match. The ending just sweetens the pot. This emotional addition to this series tips the scales right into teardom. Excellent and all-consuming, from beginning to end!!! Ashe, Varick & Ronin I loved the story--big bad bounty hunter comes into earth's realm to bring her back to faerie. But he misses capturing her when a bear interferes. He isn't giving up. Still, when he finds her again he also finds he really wants her. She wants to stay and they agree to a deal. Big baddie is really kinda cute, he helps her get around this new world because he's been here often. There is a surprise that makes it all make sense. The author is known for melting the reader's heart with her characters and this one is no different. She makes us see how this woman raised as a Princess now becomes an ordinary woman learning and loving helping others. Ronin is a cute addition to the group and adorable. Their attraction is steamy. I love watching Varick help her learn about this world. The ending is PERFECT!
