Book 10 of the Alex Mercer series is just as good and intense as book 1, if not maybe a bit better because now you know and love all the characters. How can 1 small town have so much happen? Good think Alex is the best of the best and so experienced in this field. Thankfully I was able to start this book on my day off, because I was unable to put it down and was able to finish it in one sitting...YES, it is that amazing! And so worth reading! Twists and turns that you don't expect, you think you know exactly what is happening...this is a series that leaves you waiting excitedly for the next book in the series!

Another winner in this thriller series! Be prepared for another roller coaster read! Alex Mercer has a unique past with the "missing" and kidnapped ones, which unfortunately continues to spill over into his present. Thank goodness, Alex has unique skill sets...while he is loyal and caring, he's also tenacious, unpredictable, and even dangerous to the evil ones among us. Technically, Alex is a detective...but in my considered opinion, he's an old fashioned Wild West "lawman"! This go-around, his daughter's boyfriend disappears, in addition to other law enforcement, and a murder suspect. Just what exactly is going on here?! To top it all off his friend/colleague Captain Nick's wedding is around the corner and it appears that sabotage of the worst kind is afoot. Keep reading to discover how these threads are cleverly interwoven! I happily received an advanced copy of this latest installment and am leaving an honest review.

Love this series! After 10 books you really start to love these characters like family. You feel all their hardships and happiness right along with them. They have the worst bad luck but always pull through together. This did not disappoint. It even had the wonderful cliffhanger at the end which means there will be a book eleven! Yay!
