About this ebook

Sometimes the worst lies are the ones we tell ourselves.ย ย

Ten years ago, I did a terrible thing. I sold my self-respect, my marriage, and my chances for happiness. What was the going rate for these intangible things? For me, it was a check in the sum of one million dollars and a get-out-of-jail-free card for my delinquent brother. A decade later, Iโ€™m broken, unemployed, and still single. My baby brother is back in jail. The million dollars is gone.

My ex-husband wants to trust me again, but the thing isโ€ฆhow can he trust me when neither of us can forget all the pretty, filthy lies of our past?

ย This book is the sequel to Pretty Broken Girl and is not a standalone.

I find it hard to believe that it's necessary to write all of the graphic sex scenes in these books. The story was pretty good, but I had to skip tons of pages because of this. It's actually porn, and she may as well have included pictures. Very disturbed mind, IMO. I won't be reading anymore of hers.

I couldn't put the first one down. Nor the second๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ before I know it I'm going to be done with number 9. ๐Ÿ™‰๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™Š Not a fan of the blasphemy but other than that it's a TOP read.

Im not one to leave reviews but this story is never shallow and just good because of the steamy scenes. It catches your breath because of how the deep the love of the leads are and how close to reality the author describes their emotions. I love the plot, i love the writing style, i love the pacing and i love how not exaggerated the characters are. The way i can vividly imagine myself in their situation proves how i am hooked. Now, on to the next book!
