Gain insight into the curious life of this comic genius from pithy anecdotes. Find out about his mum's obsession with keeping gnomes indoors and his experiences getting high on dope chocolate, to his childhood dentist who filled his perfect back teeth to give them 'extra protection'.

Featuring Pilkington's original illustrations and imaginative scribblings.

And now you can watch Karl taking in the seven wonders of the world on Sky1 in his new TV series An Idiot Abroad, with Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, broadcasting from 23rd September 2010.

Im a big fan of Mr Pilkington and have saw all his tv material and listened to all the podcasts/radio shows from the xfm days. The man is a pure genius and makes for great entertainment. As others have said, this book is part of his podcasts etc but more in depth. Still an excellent read for newcomers or avid followers of Karl.

Funny and entertaining. However if you're religiously listened to the xfm shows and podcasts you've heard most, if not all the stories before. Regardless, still a quick and easy read.

Very funny. Even funnier when you put read out loud on and the American robot lass tries to talk like Carl. I proper creased up in places.
