About the author
Gloria D. Miklowitz (1927–2015) wrote more than 60 fiction and nonfiction books for children and young adults. Including many that won national and international awards, her books deal with such issues as nuclear war, racial injustice, steroid abuse, date violence, and militia involvement. Three of her novels were made into award-winning TV specials.
