In Berserker Dragyn Jane has successfully blended the past with the future. Readers are thrust into the cold and unforgiving post-apocolyptic world which draws heavily on the old gods and lore. Through the eyes of Malik the reader is taken on a Journey of transformation as Malik struggles to find his place in the world. With a fresh twist on Norse mythology coupled with liberal amounts of trial and tribulation Jane has crafted a compelling and exciting story that will have you gripped

This first book in the Berserker series opened with a rich, engaging world. It was well paced to explore the different elements of the society and it had a lot of interesting themes and concepts. I actually found it a very calming read, especially once Malik found the Berserkers. I liked their connection with the spiritual side of their beliefs as well as being a physical force. I think it’s a good setup for further books.

this was a strong start to the Harbringers of Ragnarok series, it uses the fantasy element perfectly and was everything that I was looking for. The characters felt like they were supposed to and belonged in the time-period. I enjoyed going on this story and how everything worked to tell the story. I'm excited to read the next book in this series as this was really well done. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
