A witty romance where a man who does not commit begins to fall for the woman that is trying to pull him back towards his estranged father for the sake of her job. If he could've chosen anyone to fall for I'm sure it wouldn't have been Jade Tully, but Lucas is drawn to her despite her reason for being anywhere near his life. After a serious of run-ins between the initial meeting and his mom's flower shop things begin to go a little smoother for them, but will each of their own end goals destroy the delicate connection they have? BOOK TWO The Unyielding Bachelor by Miranda P. Charles is the second book in her Captured by Love series. It CAN be read as a stand-alone. This amazingly intricate plot focuses on two friends who have feelings for each other but who have some very large obstacles in the way of them forming a relationship bond. Lexie has been in a constant flirt mode with Rick for over a year now. It is time for her gloves to come off. When she is done, there is no way he can ignore her intentions, whether he accepts what she is offering is another matter entirely. Rick has made an arrangement that prevents him from being in a serious relationship. Cassie has a crush on Carter but they're just friends. He is her roommate's brother and nothing will ever happen between them. Besides, he is a playboy. When she starts a new job at an art gallery the unlikely happens... Carter is not a playboy, he is an undercover officer who often uses his skills as an electrician as a cover for his detecting job. No one but his family knows what he does, it's safer for his cover and his friends if he keeps it that way. That is part of what makes him and Cassie an issue, especially now that she is working at the art gallery that's part of his current investigation. This is the third book by this author that I have read and the third book that I have loved. Miranda P. Charles is fast becoming a go-to author for me - if she writes it I will read it. Hot, steamy, twisty and awesome.

The Unwilling Executive: Sexy and funny which is my favorite combination. I love the way Miranda Charles gives us a group of friends to enjoy over a series of books as each one finds their happiness while we get to interact with the entire cast of characters. Jade gets put into Lucas' orbit by her boss, Thomas Bilton, just to deliver a letter but she has to get him to read it. She has no idea why this is so important but Lucas leaves an impression on her and she is completely surprised to find out he's Ruby's son, her favorite florist. Lucas is shocked by his reaction to Jade but she works for the one man he can't stand, Thomas Bilton, the biological father that has never acknowledged him but now Thomas is trying to communicate with him. We get a great mystery behind the Ruby and Thomas' relationship or lack of one after Lucas was born. At the same time can Lucas open up his heart to Jade? Will he be able to trust her or is she just manipulating him for Thomas? The Unyielding Bachelor: Lexie is frustrated. Her flirting seems to be terrible because Rick, her target, seems to be oblivious. When she pulls out all the stops and still gets the cold shoulder, well, she decides to face facts and move on. My heart bled for Lexie, she is career minded, strong, independent woman and seeing her dream fade away was crushing. What she doesn't know is that Rick is trapped. He signed a contract to protect his sister's inheritance that forbids him from being in a committed relationship. Will Rick really let Lexie just walk away from him? Or will he find a loop hole? Of course, given the secrets in Rick's life, misunderstandings abound giving us just the right amount of drama with all the sexiness I expect from a Miranda Charles romance. This is the perfect afternoon escape delivering the right blend of humor, romance, sexiness, friendship, drama and love. The Undercover Playboy: Cassie is a strong, confident woman working to further her career at an organization that appreciates her. The one things she struggles with is love. Her roommates brother, Carter, has captured her heart but he is a playboy. When Cassie gets a new job and Carter is contracted to work at her new firm, they suddenly find themselves crossing paths more often but can Carter commit to one woman? Carter is a complex man since his job as an undercover agent puts him in unique situation of lying to most everyone about what he does. Most everyone believes he’s an electrician that plays the field but they don’t realize many of these "dates" are related to cases he is working on, not actual dates. He really likes his sister's new roommate Cassie but will his job get in the way of any romance they might have? When his job puts him directly in Cassie's path, he might find that protecting her becomes his biggest challenge. A wonderfully sexy, fun and sweet romance with a great level of suspense as we unravel Carter's case.

The Unwilling Executive - I am going to go on record saying that I absolutely loved The Unwilling Executive. This story is about more than a simple romance. It is about putting yourself on the line to establish a connection with that one person that understands you and not allowing anything to break it. The Unyielding Bachelor - Can love be any more complicated? Lexie feelings for Rick are the worst kept secret, it's just that obvious. Having been in love with Rick for a while Lexie is unsure how he feels. Although Rick does feel something for Lexie, he is more subtle and keeps his feelings to himself. He has an image to maintain and it is really important that he keeps his playboy image intact. This story proved to be a real treat for me. All is not what it seems and there are reasons as to why Rick is an Unyielding Bachelor. Or is he? The Undercover Playboy - Full of danger, suspense, twist, turns and secrets Miranda P. Charles keeps you on your toes with this read. Each character is a well developed pawn in a world of mystery and manipulation. Intricately woven plot twists, intriguing characters and great writing make The Undercover Playboy by Miranda P. Chase a cool and entertaining read.
