Wright created an intense romance which includes family, emotion, and an attraction that that will not be denied. Stetson can't keep his mind off the pretty little accountant in her skirt and heels; her eyes, her hair, her legs, well you get the drift. However, with preconceived ideas of city women, he's determined to overcome his attraction. Furthermore, hurts from the past color his view of Jennifer. You will love Stetson; strong, determined, and manly, his fight for his way of life will grab your heart strings. Jennifer comparison of herself to a 15 year old with the hots for the prettiest boy in the school's hilarious. The attractions immediate and intense. Her boss is rushing the audit, for reasons Wright held close to her chest until the last moment. Jennifer's determined to find a way to save the ranch even though Stetson doesn't believe her. Adding Carmelita's character as a surrogate mother to a 12 yr old boy when his mother died, added much sensitivity and feeling to the story-line. Wright included family dynamics of jealousy and resentment, as she developed her story-line. With well-developed characters, pacing which is in line with the length of the book, and prose easy to follow, Accounting For Love entertains from start to finish. With cruder language than a clean read, if damn, a-- instead of behind, or son of ---, offend you, this book may be a skip as Stetson uses language of the rural country farmer. Also, the love scenes are intense and descriptive, however, not erotic. An entertaining romance the reader will love.

Stetson Miller has a big problem. As the youngest Miller son he has aways been the baby of the family and his two older brothers do not respect him. Add to that, he was the only inheritor of the family farm and you have a scenario for trouble. To make things worse, even-though, Stetson is a very hard worker and knows how to run the farm, but he is no bookkeeper. He has managed to miss a very important balloon payment on a substantial loan to the bank. Jennifer Kendall is forensic accountant. She has been sent by the bank so see if she can find the money necessary to paid the loan and prevent foreclosure. Stetson misinterprets her purpose for the audit and takes an instant aversion to Jennifer. It is hate a first sight or is it? It would seem that there is major chemistry between our two antagonists. Jennifer would like nothing better than to save Stetson's farm and keep the bank from foreclosing but Jennifer's boss has another agenda and is pushing her to recommend foreclosure. Erin Wright has written a well thought out plot with believable characters who have real life problems to solve. This story is so much more than a simple romance and as such it is a thought provoking read that I found to be a real attention grabber. This is one book you are going to want to read.

A delightful story, Accounting for Love draws the reader into the life and emotions of Stetson and Jennifer from the opening page. One experiences Stetson's deep frustration and his feelings of lack of worth, as well as Jennifer's nervousness at being in a hostile situation whilst trying to please everyone. There are laugh aloud moments and some situations generate anger at the unfairness of the accusations being levelled. I especially laughed with the closing paragraphs and thoroughly enjoyed Stetson's boyishness. The story is generally well written and keeps the reader's interest but it should have an age 18 restriction for the more sensitive parts of the story. I received a copy of this book as a gift, and this is my honest and voluntary review.
