About this ebook

"To thine enemies, destruction and ruin."

With an opening line like that, it's no wonder Matt keeps stealing his cousin's journals and reading them! Lured in by swords, magic, and curses, Matt unexpectedly finds an escape from his chaotic home life. But can a story, even one that parallels his actions in the real world, be enough to turn his life around?

About the author

Sarah M. Klein isn’t the nerdiest nerd you’ve ever met, but she still likes to think of herself as a lover of science, video games, and of course, books. For much of her life, Sarah wanted to be a Marine Biologist. In her senior year of high school, she took a dual credit course in Marine Biology. The class took a trip to Costa Rica to aid in the protection and preservation of the endangered leatherback sea turtles. The experience only strengthened her desire to pursue Marine Biology as a career.

That same year, she enrolled at Indiana Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) with the intent of graduating with a degree in Marine Biology. When the chemistry courses killed that dream, she did some tough soul searching and realized her passion for writing. During her pursuit of an English degree, Sarah took a bookbinding class and quickly fell in love with the art of crafting books. It paired well with her love of writing, and in 2014, she created an Etsy shop to sell her handmade books.

She graduated in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in English, and later that year, she married the one and only love of her life, Nicholas Klein. Combining their skills, they went into business together.

In 2015, she created her first writing group and in 2022, she formed a new one. Nowadays, Sarah works from home as NJP’s Social Media Manager. In her free time, she continues writing and publishing some of her work on her blog Caffeine is my Muse. She still occasionally crafts books but has most recently started following in the footsteps of her great grandmother, whom she shares a birthday with. Like her, Sarah also has the passion of collecting rocks and gemstones.
