About the author

Yusei Matsui stammt aus der japanischen Präfektur Saitama. 2004 gewann er mit seinem Manga MAJINTANTEI NOUGAMI NEURO (dt.: Dämonen Detektiv Nougami Neuro) den 12. Juniketsu Mangapreis für Newcomer. Das war der Beginn seiner Karriere als professioneller Mangakünstler. MAJINTANTEI NOUGAMI NEURO wurde als Serie von 2005 bis 2009 in der japanischen Zeitschrift Shonen Jump veröffentlicht. Matsuis aktuelle Serie ASSASSINATION CLASSROOM erscheint in Japan seit 2012 und hat viele Fans weltweit gewonnen. Ab Januar 2015 läuft im japanischen Fernsehen eine Animeversion des Manga, im März 2015 wird ein Live-Action-Movie folgen.
