About this ebook

This compilation of the complete Alpha Underground Trilogy plus five bonus short stories is chock full of danger, adventure, and romance.

Fen Young is a half-shifter whose inner beast is more mouse than wolf. Home is her castle, the only place she's ever felt safe.

Enter Hunter Green, an uber-alpha strong enough to stop traffic with a single look. He's handsome and enticing and seems like just the ticket to broaden Fen's horizons...until the uber-alpha brushes off his admirer and summarily ejects her from her home pack.

Now treading water in the no-man's land of outpack territory, Fen must confront a missing pack mate, a tantalizing stranger, and a serial killer targeting half-werewolves. Will she be able to shore up her waning power in time to save her friend...and half-breeds everywhere...before it's too late?

(3.5/5) This author writes interesting, enjoyable tales that pull you in among the moonlight and wonder, and Fen's story is certainly no exception. šŸ’– However, I found that character development & progression, especially the protagonists in the two trilogies I read (Terra & Fen) seem to be almost nonexistent - they remained unchanged from beginning to end, 'alpha' in name only. Loading the protagonist with crippling flaws and self-doubt, rescuing them with a cookie-cutter 'strong, silent man' who then takes charge and magicks them to victory was ...unsatisfying. The conclusion that she 'wasn't really an alpha anyway', just a placeholder until the real Alpha(the Man) took over, was a misogynistic slapdown to indepent women and our own internal hero. I do believe the fundamentals are all there. It's just the character development(and message) that needs work. Have a great week everyone, and stay safe!

About the author

Homesteader by day and werewolfā€¦ahem, *teller of werewolf tales*ā€¦by night, Aimee Easterling is a USA Today Bestselling author writing on the boundary between urban fantasy and paranormal romance.

She heats her house with hand-split firewood, writes on an ultra-geeky Linux box, and generally does her best to confuse all reasonable assumptions.

Studying biology and spending a year backpacking around the world have both informed Aimeeā€™s writing, but sheā€™s quite willing to let reality slide in favor of a good story. You can learn more and download a free starter library at www.aimeeeasterling.com.
