I preordered Quinn II months ago and was so excited when it finally came out. I go to read it and I cant read it past the sample. And when I try to buy it, it tells me I already purchased it. So now I can't read it n I'm sad. 😢 Is it something wrong with google play?

Quinn II continues where book 1 ended. Lexi had left Quinn in the middle of the night after overhearing him saying some not so pleasant things in her behalf. As in Lexi fashion, when Quinn caught up to her, she was anything but safe. After Quinn saved her from an unpleasant situation, Lexi and Quinn where attached to the hip. As much as Lexi felt safe and loved by Quinn, underneath lingered doubts. Some more twits and truths were revealed along the way, but Lexi and Quinn worked them out. Quinn was off his game, vulnerable when it came to Lexi. Never in his life had he fallen as hard for a woman as he had for Lexi. His every breath and thought of her consumed him and no one was going to stop him from having her to himself. Just as Lexi and Quinn thought that their travels through the great outdoors was coming to an end, and unexpected ambush separated them. Vince had once again claimed Lexi as his own, and Quinn suffered his greatest fear, the loss of Lexi. So many deluded assumptions of what appears to be true, are really lies. Quinn is left questioning so much about the woman he gave his heart and soul to. In the end, in his eyes, Lexi betrayed him, crushing and destroying him forever. Now it's Lexi's turn to fight for Quinn. But will her ultimate sacrifice to save the man she loves be her undoing. Quinn II is filled with so much suspense, secrets, betrayal, action. love and sacrifice. JC Cliff kept us on the edge both emotionally and mentally. You never knew what danger was lurking around the corner, while Lexi and Quinn worked through their feelings for one another. Great job JC Cliff.

These characters, this writing style and I just aren't compatible. I have a difficult time taking them seriously enough to allow me to actually get into the plot or their outcome. I'm sure many will like it, but it isn't for me.
