With the line between friends and foe very faintly drawn, Mairi and Rowan have a hard time determining the truth. I found this dramatic Scottish romance very busy and at times the plot was swamped by the dialogue. Mairi is an unusual woman, willing to do whatever was necessary to free her brother. Rowan is intrigued by her but with the information at his disposal, he has a hard time working out her motives. I did enjoy this book, although the plot moved very slowly at times. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily post this review. This is my honest review.
