This is book three in the Blue Justice series. I believe it is a stand alone book, yet you do miss some history of the St. John family. The handsome detective Brady St. John must help and protect Emily Chastain. Yet Emily will help Brady in ways he never expected. Emily has a lot to overcome, will she be able to trust Brady and stay alive long enough to solve this mystery? This novel is full of mystery, loyalty, family, forgiveness, suspense, romance and so much more. I look forward to book four.

Emily working at the bank noticed something irregular with the deposits and withdrawal, then seeing someone from her past, caused her to further investigated. Pulling in a friend from childhood.to help her. She was told to get out by her mother when the father was killed. Emily’s remark was he was not a nice person. She learned to be street smart which helped her keep her calm. Bizarre events pull her into the cop family of the St John’s as they try to get to the bottom of why she is a target.

I could not wait to read this book! I have fallen in love with the St. John family and couldn’t wait to hear Brady’s story. Eason has a way of drawing me in and making it impossible to do anything but keep reading to see what happens next. I absolutely loved Emily. She is so unique, and I could relate to her in a lot of ways. She is one of my favorite heroines ever, and I don’t say that lightly. This story drew me in from page one. Eason writes with the perfect ingredients; a spoonful of suspense, a pinch of romance, and a dash of faith. I enjoyed watching the characters grow and learn more about who they were created to be. Code of Valor follows Brady and Emily as they fight to stay one step ahead of an unknown enemy. Just when Brady thinks he might actually get to relax, trouble appears right outside of his door. Cabin in the woods or not, he is still on guard. When he sees something suspicious his training kicks in. Emily couldn’t have hand picked a better hero, not only is he handsome, but he becomes her protector when she needs it most. Swoon-worthy from the very beginning can she trust her feelings when it comes to Brady? I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Suspense. I found myself playing detective trying to figure out who could be chasing them. I can’t wait to see what Eason comes up with next, and am anxiously awaiting my next Blue Justice adventure. If you haven’t read any of this series you don’t need to read them to enjoy this one. That being said, you’ll be missing out on some amazing stories that includee Brady and his siblings. I received a copy of this book from Revell Publishers and was in no way forced to post a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
