About this ebook

The book centres on the handwritten journal of Soong Nyet Yun. Read as a whole, with contributions from writers in the family, it rests on the reader as a layered narrative.

Red Packet with 20¢ negotiates the contours of individual perspectives and the grey areas of a family's collective memory. The book delicately explores kinship and pieces together a tender family portrait.
