Ratings and reviews

A middling conclusion to a series with no heroes, no humor, no joy, no good choices. Everyone is a villain and everyone is a monster and there's nothing but wat and death. Occasionally someone uses magic, but just as an even greater form of murder. There's no message. Just the slog of violence.

Her work has won the Nebula, Locus, Crawford, and British Book Awards. A Marshall Scholar, she has an MPhil in Chinese Studies from Cambridge and an MSc in Contemporary Chinese Studies from Oxford.
