As a BBW myself, I wish I had as much spunk as Ginny, the heroine in this story. Ginny certainly knows how to turn a phrase and another cheek. Her first encounter with Hawk, happens when she comes upon his car broken down on the roadside near her home. She knows that she doesn't have much time to run home and take care of her recovering father before having to be back at work but she also cannot ignore someone in need. What bothers her the most is the fact that the guy seems to have more money than brains. A couple of weeks later, Hawk shows up at the restaurant she waitresses at and he can't believe that he has finally found the lady he can't stop thinking about only Ginny gets bullied into not waiting on him and so it is a few more weeks until they meet again. Hawk goes after Ginny full steam ahead, but soon has to back off some when he realizes just how fragile her emotions really are especially as he wants her to be a permanent part of his life. I really enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading more by this author.

When Ginny came to Hawk's assistance he was captivated and impress with her sass and skills. Not only ha she fixed his car, she captured his heart as well. All Ginny's life she had been picked on for being a big girl which hardened her heart. Can Hawk soften those walls and get her to see that he wants her forever or will all the drama created by his father and some of the towns people bring and end to what could have been a happily ever after. Ginny is a very busy, independent, fiesty female. One day she meets Hawk. He is instantly attracted to her but Ginny has trust issues due to her constant bullying. Hawk has to prove to Ginny that he isn't like everyone else. Good story and it's also all too real for what some people go through. Christa got it right in the way she wrote about Ginny and.her insecurities and trust issues. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
