Magnus, Scottish Bounty Hunter extra-ordinaire, is being led on a merry dance by his latest fugitive. She is an Archivist, she should have been a slam dunk but nope, 17 months she has evaded him! When he finally found her, she uses her "feminine wiles" on him, aka they bump uglies and she makes off while he has a snooze. NOT his best moment! Piper knows that she didn't kill her boss but no one seems to be prepared to believe her. She seems to have taken to being on the run and she manages to stay one step ahead of the big, bad Scotsman. But it seems her luck has run out and now she has one seriously peed-off bounty hunter on her tail! As a Scot I had a few quibbles - we don't have bounty hunters like the USA do and the accents are a wee bit wonky (even though I'm from Glasgow and Magnus is clearly from the far North). But once I disengaged my logical, law enforcement professional brain, I found myself sucked into the around-Europe fugitive hunt and the subsequent Hot Scot falling for said fugitive! A Random collection of cousins are on hand to give Magnus a helping hand, especially Errol and Logan. Enjoyable adventure with many spicy scenes.
