The Multi-Fructural Analysis Of Fatigue Failure Under Friction Process

A.M. Pashayev, A.Kh. Janahmadov, O.A. Dyshin, M.Y. Javadov

The article shows the need to combine approaches of synergetics and fractals in the study of friction and wear in the frictional contact, due to fact that dissipative structures, self-organising in the open systems, are known to have a fractal behaviour  The multi-fractal concept allows to introduce new quantitative structures, characterised by a spectrum of generalised fractal dimensions and reflected by the degree of randomness. Different levels of structure (micro-, mesa- and macro-scale) are described in the framework of multi-fractal analysis. A procedure to calculate the multi-fractal dimension of this structure is developed and the results of the numerical calculations are submitted.Research Of Loading Distribution On Coils Of Running Pair Of The LatchN.H.JavadovIt is given the calculation procedure of distribution of pressure on coils of running pair of latch at various loading schemes. Recommendations are provided for the choice of loading schemes of running pair, which ensures more uniform distributions and therefore, considerably reduces the wear of coils by means of constructive changes in a latch.

Modeling And Forecasting The Financial Markets Using Theory Of Deterministic Chaos And Fractals

S.M. Javadova

This paper presents the results of the multi-fractal analysis based on the wavelet transformation, which can be considered as method of studying the spectral correlation properties of various processes, including non-stationary. Comparative experience with methods MFFA (multi-fractal fluctuation analysis) and WTMM (wavelet transform modulus maxima) in studying of the multi-fractal properties of signals of time function shows that MFFA method is more reliable and robust. As an instrument of the ‘local’ study of time function structure, WTMM allows to evaluate the correlation properties of random processes in comparison with a short signal.

Surface Structures Of Frictional Materials On Asbestosfree Base

M.I. Aliyev

Development of asbestosfree composite materials on petroleum coke base enabled to obtain environmentally sound products with sufficiently high physical, mechanical and tribotechnical characteristics. The materials have been analyzed/tested from the perspective of physicochemical friction mechanics in the breaking mode through the differential-thermal analysis (DTA) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGM), supplemented with the study of friction materials structure. The thermogravimetric analysis findings indicated that decomposition of the new asbestosfree friction material begins after 14 minutes at 3000C.

The Characteristic Analysis Of Changes In The Processes, Phenomena And Effects Within Working Layers Of Metal Polymer Pairs During Electro-Thermo-Mechanical Friction

A.Kh. Janahmadov, A.I. Volchenko, M.Y. Javadov, D.A. Volchenko, N.A. Volchenko, E.A. Janahmadov

The wave nature of changes in the external and internal characteristics of the metal polymer pairs at the electro-thermo-mechanical friction.

The Research And Development Of The Highly Efficient Catalyst Of The C3-C4 Hydrocarbon Processing

S.R. Rasulov, N.A. Salimova, G.R. Mustafaeva, L.V. Huseynova

The effect of the different input methods of modifiers is studied: ion exchange, impregnation and dry mechanical mixing of catalytic properties of the zeolite base catalyst at the C3-C4 hydrocarbon conversion. The obtained quantitative data helps to identify the significant differences for the thermo-steaming and thermal activation of the modified catalyst exhibited during the conversion of the C3-C4 hydrocarbons and the selectivity of aromatic hydrocarbons. It is shown that the sample made of by the mechanical mixing with a subsequent high temperature treatment is most active. The regularities of the reaction-regeneration cycles are established.

Technological Aspects Of Machine Parts Durability
Improvements

A.M. Gafarov, P.G. Suleymanov, V.A. Gafarov, F.M. Kalbiyev

Based on the papers of national and foreign authors, the technological overview of the machine parts wear resistance is given in the paper. The obtained data is analyzed.

The Study Of Factors Affecting On The Heating Of Elastic Elements Of The Coupling

I.A. Khalilov

The article studies the heating of the elastic element of the coupling depending on the influencing factors such as the damping capacity of the coupling, the ratio of the inertia moments in the driving and driven machinery details, the heat transfer coefficient and the cooling area of the of the elastic element of the coupling and the circumferential frequency of oscillation of the machinery driving system.

Twenty-five years after its initial publication, The Making of the Atomic Bomb remains the definitive history of nuclear weapons and the Manhattan Project. From the turn-of-the-century discovery of nuclear energy to the dropping of the first bombs on Japan, Richard Rhodes’s Pulitzer Prize-winning book details the science, the people, and the socio-political realities that led to the development of the atomic bomb.

This sweeping account begins in the 19th century, with the discovery of nuclear fission, and continues to World War Two and the Americans’ race to beat Hitler’s Nazis. That competition launched the Manhattan Project and the nearly overnight construction of a vast military-industrial complex that culminated in the fateful dropping of the first bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Reading like a character-driven suspense novel, the book introduces the players in this saga of physics, politics, and human psychology—from FDR and Einstein to the visionary scientists who pioneered quantum theory and the application of thermonuclear fission, including Planck, Szilard, Bohr, Oppenheimer, Fermi, Teller, Meitner, von Neumann, and Lawrence.

From nuclear power’s earliest foreshadowing in the work of H.G. Wells to the bright glare of Trinity at Alamogordo and the arms race of the Cold War, this dread invention forever changed the course of human history, and The Making of The Atomic Bomb provides a panoramic backdrop for that story.

Richard Rhodes’s ability to craft compelling biographical portraits is matched only by his rigorous scholarship. Told in rich human, political, and scientific detail that any reader can follow, The Making of the Atomic Bomb is a thought-provoking and masterful work.
