This author has a strong sense of story. I tried very hard to ignore the odd bits as at times the writing was puerile. For example, in the first book. Dr Snowdon and Emily are trying to escape aliens. One of their party has just had his face blown of. They can hear something coming behind them and they are having a casual walk down the corridor having a very ordinary conversation when they estimate that the aliens are behind them approx. two bends in the corridor. They jump when one of the aliens is right with them. They manage to kill it and the say that they better get a move on. To the vital job of helping to get the engines going. These two people have been taken from earth by aliens and all this is new to them. They are in a life threatening situation and they stop for a chat. That just doesn't make sense. Another section of the books. and Dr Snowdon said that Silva might be trouble. Then Evaren disagreed but said they needed to be cautious. Dr Snowdon 'couldn't see that' but would trust Evaren's judgement. These odd things are just two of them and they happen often in these books.

I loved the concept and the adventures. The only thing I didn't like was the overuse of the word interacted. It would have been better if the author had used a few different words but it wasn't enough to spoil the books

If you like science fiction, then you can should really enjoy reading about Evaran. I had a hard time to put the book down once I started reading. I'm anxious now to move on to the next series!
