About the author

Margaret Gibb is the Executive Director of Women Together, an international speaker, a published author and was selected as one of Canada's 100 Christian women leaders in 2014. Her extensive leadership experience includes 25 years of pastoral ministry with her late husband, and 10 years as President of Women Alive. She travels the globe as a mentor, motivator and encourager expanding Women Together in nine countries building a global community of Christian women leaders.

Leila Springer is an author, Life Coach, breast cancer survivor, community activist and Founder and Executive Director of The Olive Branch of Hope Breast Cancer Support Services. She received an award for excellence in leadership from the World Conference on Breast Cancer Foundation where she served as President for three years. Leila pursued her theological studies at Canada’s Christian College and Tyndale College and Seminary. She creatively expresses her passion for God and the message of hope through public speaking and writing.

Moira Brown is a Canadian television personality with more than 40 years of broadcast experience. She is best known for co-hosting 100 Huntley Street, Canada’s longest running daily TV talk show. In 2013 Moira was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal “for dedicated service to her peers, her community and to Canada.” Moira is the author of Hugs from Heaven, a collection of personal reflections on faith and life. Moira also shares her faith on Joy 1250 radio and at faithstrongtoday.com.

As a television host, public speaker, and the Senior Executive Producer of 100 Huntley Street, Cheryl Weber is passionate about telling stories that matter. She has circled the globe documenting stories of human suffering, heartbreaking need, and incredible life transformation. Cheryl is the recipient of the Woman of Excellence Award for Raising Global Awareness and the International Women Achievers’ Media Award. She serves on the Board of Ratanak International, a Christian organization that empowers exploited people in Cambodia.

Wendy Hagar is the founder and executive director of Sew on Fire Ministries, a volunteer humanitarian organization that prepares and fills over 20,000 gift bags annually for people in need across Canada and around the world. Wendy began Sew on Fire from her home, but the ministry now works out of 9,000 sq ft distribution centre. Wendy is the recipient of Burlington’s Citizen of the Year award and Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee medal for her years of service.

Ruth Ann Onley is an award-winning Christian recording artist who has touched hearts for over 30 years with her concert ministry. Married to David Onley, the 28th Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, Ruth Ann has had the opportunity to perform at many patriotic, military, and cultural events. Ruth Ann is the recipient of an honorary Doctor of Literature degree from Canada Christian College and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal.

Susan Finlay is the Founder and National Director of Nation at Prayer, a Canadian ministry focused on transforming the nation through prayer with and for elected representatives at every level of government. Before establishing Nation at Prayer, Susan worked as a senior consultant with an international consulting firm and enjoyed a fulfilling career in the government and not for profit sectors. She is currently a board director of an organization doing development work among women in Afghanistan.

Marie A Miller is a pastor, missions facilitator, and itinerant evangelist. She currently serves as Lead Pastor of Pickering Pentecostal Church. Before accepting the call to ministry, Marie worked in a marketing position at Air Canada. After witnessing extreme poverty on a trip to India, Marie quit her marketing job and enrolled in Bible college. She has since served on the pastoral teams of several churches and has ministered in 29 countries under the banner of Foundations Ministries.

Dr. Aileen van Ginkel is Vice-President, Ministry Services at The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada and Co-chair with the Canadian Interfaith Conversation. She has had wide experience in facilitating group dialogue and partnership development. She completed her Doctor of Ministry (D.Min) degree in 2012 at Tyndale Seminary, where she focused her research on practices of communal discernment.
