I like a mystery with a believable plot, likeable characters (at least the good gals), and good writing. MURDER AT THE PTA has all of those things and some laughs as well. Beth is a character who could easily be a person I know. Her concerns are realistic, but her thoughts and reactions to events often made me laugh. Alden has the knack of saying things with a lightly humorous touch, not silly, not zany, just funny.
Good mystery, great characters, and humor. I can't wait for Book Two!

Laura Alden's debut novel, Murder at the PTA, was an Agatha Award finalist for best first novel. She continued the series with Foul Play at the PTA, Plotting at the PTA, and Poison at the PTA.
