As Juliet and Ford finally finish their journey and arrive at Long Moon University, they are faced with new challenges. Juliet is hoping to find a way to get rid of her implant and finally be able to shift into her Phoenix form, while both she and Ford must face the trials to be accepted at the University. As days pass, they soon discover that although they believe they have left their enemies behind, arrival at the University brings to light new enemies and challenges.

I loved the continuation of Ford and Juliet’s wolf and phoenix shifter romance with a side of mystery and danger. This book is part of a trilogy and ends on a cliffhanger. As long as you are aware of that you’ll enjoy the story. This book picks up at the exact moment where the last book left off. This book has sweet moments, sexual tension, action, danger, messy relationships, painful pasts, mystery, evil actors, plot twists, imperfect characters, and chuckles. I can’t wait for the final book.

This is the second book in the series and book 1 Alpha Betrayed must be read first. This book picks up right the first left off. Things are about to get real interesting for Ford and Juliet as they enter the Lost Moon University campus grounds. Juliet is in for a surprise as she gets to experience true friendships along the way. It made me real happy for her and Ford. Allegiances are going important because things are not all they seem at Lost Moon. I feel this one is the calm before the storm.
