About this ebook

"This is a fabulous series. It’s erotic, it’s romantic, has wonderfully suspenseful plots, and amazing characters (including so many yummy sexy alpha men…)."  ~ The Romance Reviews

One dark ‘n’ stormy night. One short curvy accountant. One very exclusive club.

Jessica can’t believe her luck. After her car slides into a water-filled ditch, she asks to shelter in an isolated mansion only to learns it’s a private bondage club. Given the choice, she decides to enter. She hadn’t realized when signing the “Rules of the Shadowlands” that she’d get much more than she bargained for.

Her next mistake is attracting the attention of Master Z, the intimidatingly, confident owner of the Shadowlands. The most powerful dominant in the club, Master Z can have anyone he wants—and he wants Jessica.

It’s time to enter the darkly seductive world of the Shadowlands…

This is not just the best in its genre, I think it might be put in my ultimate favorite category. The only problem in reading a book this great is that you tend to use it to gauge everything else you read. I may not be able to give out a top rating again for awhile. ~ Guilty Indulgence

"I can’t get enough of Cherise Sinclair’s books! Each and every story Ms. Sinclair writes is an erotic feast for the senses." ~ Joyfully Reviewed

"If you’ve not experienced the fantastic work of Cherise Sinclair, now’s a good time to start." ~ Whipped Cream Reviews

Each book in the Masters of the Shadowlands series is a standalone story that can be enjoyed out of order.

I really need to stop reading BDSM books. I get so ticked off at the sheer condescension of the doms in these stories, I spend half of the reading time angry at the women for putting up with such disrespect and the other yelling at the men for their arrogant assumption that their way is the only way. The men talk about being open and communicating but they only do it their way and on their timetable. BUT in between the two emotions, I admit I find a lot of her scenes VERY HOT, VERY EXCITING. I will say that Cherise's "hero" here does better than most at being attuned to his partner, so this story was more enjoyable than usual. I was able to have good fun about 65% of the time thus the 4 stars. The 5th is withheld because of my "asi, asi" feelings. There's no doubt she's a marvelous writer and her characters are real and relatable. The pacing is spot on and the ending, fulfilling. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a little alternative in their intimate relationship

Being a part of the local BDSM community I absolutely love this book. Incredibly accurate, with relatable scenarios, I also love the fact that the author emphasizes important facts and rules to live by while taking part in such a lifestyle such as safe, sane and consensual, dont interrupt someone elses scene, dont touch anything or anyone that isnt yours and having a safe word is more than important it's a must and it's also very important to communicate guidelines or create a contract between sub and dom. I will definitely be reading the rest of her books.

#didntread #wontread DRM is a critical purchase decision-point for me. I mistakenly "purchased" this DRM-enabled e-book. I did not read it, nor will I read it. It's not hard to break the DRM to enjoy reading an e-book in the software of MY choice; in fact, it's trivially easy. That's not the point. The point is the author/publisher is attempting, poorly and unsuccessfully, to dictate the terms of how and where I enjoy reading the product and I find that a repulsive and reprehensible business tactic; absolutely inexcusable. The publisher has been added to my #dontbuy list, which is depressingly long.

Authors often say their characters argue with them. Unfortunately, since Cherise Sinclair’s heroes are Doms, she never, ever wins.

A New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, she’s renowned for writing heart-wrenching romances with laugh-out-loud dialogue, devastating Dominants, and absolutely sizzling sex. And did I mention the BDSM? Her awards include a National Leather Award, Romantic Times Reviewer’s Choice nomination, and Best Author of the Year from the Goodreads BDSM group.

Fledglings having flown the nest, Cherise, her beloved husband, and one fussy feline live in the Pacific Northwest where nothing is cozier than a rainy day spent writing.
