The plot of this book is quite interesting, but the writing is HORRIBLE. I often thought I was reading a children's book, but the 4 or 5 curse words thrown haphazardly into the mix reminded me otherwise. There is absolutely no character development. The story itself starts off as more of a thriller and becomes completely supernatural in a way that is too unrealistic. I finished this book because I started it, but will not be reading the others.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, however I am in fact one to fall in love with any book that will give me goosebumps. I purchased the entire series after I fell in love with the first. If you are not looking to commit to anything right now I would suggest reading Escape from Asylum first, I became obssed with these books. Reading this series definitely brought out a darker me, the one who would take a stroll through an abandoned asylum in a heart-beat.

Kept me on the edge of my chair everytime I read onto each chapter. I love suspensful type of movies and stories especially "scary" types. This I wouldnt say is scary. BUT if I were the main character I would have been scared. Absolutely LOVED this book! I havent been this into a book since high school. Will definitely be reading the rest of the series. Highly recommend this read!
