About the author

Guy Arnold has written more than 30 books on Africa and development topics and has published books on the state of Britain (Brainwash: The Cover-up Society, Britain since 1945, and The Unions). He has an Honours degree in History from Oxford and has spent most of his life working as a freelance writer and lecturer. He lectures for international affairs for Surrey University.
